Thank you for taking the time to check out my work. For me Photography is a hobby that I enjoy and try to fit into every available moment.
I'm currently a 2nd year graduate student at the University of Virginia, studying molecular spectroscopy in the Chemistry Department. I received my B.S. in Chemistry from UVA as well in 2003, and really hope that science is something I can pursue for the rest of my life.
It is this scientific background that brings me to love the intricate yet simplistic nature of the camera and the images it can produce. Its ability to take a small snapshot of time and save it forever in such a tiny package amazes me. Millions of tiny dots on a screen or piece of paper come together as one to create an image that can inspire thought and emotions. These images can be powerful enough to change a way a person thinks about the world around them. A photo can inspire love from millions, bring light to hardships, rouse a laugh, and bring people together. All that power with a single press of a button.
I like to keep my experience broad and try to dabble in a little bit of everything. It’s that broad experience that lets me produce an image that brings many aspects together cohesively in a unique way.
I'm open to any and all ideas. If you would like to work with me or have any ideas you want to see come to life, by all means please let me know and I would love to accommodate you. If you are local I will most likely be free of charge depending on the scale of the job, because photography is something I LOVE and wish to share with the world in any way possible.
Again Thank you.
